Aurora Harrell

Aurora has been dancing since she was three years old. She danced with Synergy until she was twelve and then had the opportunity to train with Ballet West Academy and eventually Pioneer High School for the Performing Arts as well. Notable performances during those years included eight corps roles in a single Nutcracker show, Garland Demi-Soloist in Sleeping Beauty, Lilac Attendant in Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel Soloist in Sleeping Beauty, performing on international live TV during the World Peace Summit, and being a paid soloist for Sparkle Park. During the summer, she attended intensives with the internationally renowned American Ballet Theatre, Ballet West, and Joffrey Ballet School in New York, and in 2016 taught her first class at Synergy.

At 16 she graduated Ballet West and High School and chose to attend BYU where she received her Bachelors in Fine Arts. While there, she danced with BYU’s Ballet Showcase Company and DancEnsamble. In her final year at school, she pursued her Progressing Ballet Technique international certification and was invited to audition for American Ballet Theatre’s national touring company. In 2022 she was invited to audition again and her PBT program at Synergy received attention from the founder of PBT during annual certification renewal and was drafted into a testimonial on “Teachers to Watch For” released to their teacher mailing list in Summer 2023 and highlighted again in Spring 2024. Currently she continues to perform as a principal ballerina for Utah Valley Civic Ballet in Spanish Fork with roles including title character Swanhilda/Copellia in Coppelia, and Lilac Fairy in Sleeping Beauty. Aurora has loved teaching all styles at Synergy and is grateful to be working with the Synergy family and mentors she grew up with.
